DIVE SASK

Saskatchewan came up big at the Polar Bear Classic in Winnipeg last weekend – with Regina Diving Club winning the Top Club of the Meet.  Both clubs brought home a pile of medals:  17 for Saskatoon (9 gold, 6 silver, 2 bronze) and 29 for Regina (13 gold, 5 silver, 11 bronze).  Jonah Cey was the biggest individual winner, winning every category he was diving in and bringing home 7 Gold medals.  As we head into the 18 month countdown to Canada Games, it was especially meaningful that Jonah won all three Open events.  Other top performers were Jamie Spilchak (2 Gold, 3 Silver), Alyssa Clairmont (3 Gold), Presley Deck (3 Gold), Trinity Wilde (3 Silver), Kelsey Clairmont (2 Gold, 1 Bronze) and Brookly Markusson (1 Silver, 2 Bronze). Micaiah Besler and Liz DeCecco won the Women’s Open Synchro event in a tough field of competitors.  Congratulations Team Sask – it’s going to be a great year!
